Quality Control for Transcription, Captioning + Translation

At meDia soft, each individual and each team is evaluated on a daily basis. Our performance evaluation criteria include: accuracy level, speed and format. This information is compiled and analyzed by our Operations department, which work closely with our trainers and tailor monthly refresher courses for our teams in the areas that require improvement.

For each of our service areas, our quality process is three-pronged. Once files are transcribed/translated by the Transcription/Translation team, the documents are delivered to our Editors. The Editorial team edits content, fine-tunes format and monitors the team's timeliness throughout the day. Editors also perform a first level edit of time codes (for captioning). Once the files are edited, they go to our Quality Analysts, who verify content (i.e. speaker names, industry-specific or culture-specific terminology), perform in-depth research as well as verify the time codes needed for captioning. Our last and final level of editing is headed by a Team Leader, who once again, verifies content and finalizes the deliverable prior to client delivery.

meDia Sharp Training

Our transcription training institute, located in Mumbai, India, is taught by certified instructors, who are experts in American and European accent training and have a solid background in transcription and captioning.

All new employees attend a mandatory training program for a period of two months prior to handling live work. The curriculum is specifically designed by our in-house trainers and Editorial team to develop and strengthen each individual's transcription skills and improve overall accuracy levels.

For those that do not pass the testing requirements during our interview process also have an option - to register in our ten-month training program. This program equips applicants in accent training, culture-specific terminology, speed and research skills. But the good news doesn't end here - those that pass the ten-month training curriculum are automatically offered employment at meDia soft!
